Odd One Out shows you four footballers at a time. Three of them share a highly specific, factual connection — a title won, a club served, a moment on the biggest stage — and one of them only looks like he belongs. Your job is to spot the impostor. The reveal after every round explains the connection, which is where the game earns its keep: the wrong answers teach you as much as the right ones.

Work out the connection before you pick. With four names in front of you, test the strongest candidate link first — a shared club, a shared trophy, a shared era — and see which three fit it cleanly. The trap is almost always a player who is famous for nearly qualifying: the prolific striker without the title, the great who never won the one competition the other three did. If a player feels like the obvious answer for fame reasons alone, look again.
